Who? Me?

I am Lester and I’m a bad-ass wannabe. I am a small town boy.  I am the writer among non-writers, the photographer at the wrong angles, the uninspired illustrator, and the blogger of things inside my head.  I am  a self-proclaimed type of artist who loves to sketch, and is now currently exploring the wonders of watercolors, oils and coffee! BTW my day job is an accountant. But trust me I hate numbers, they just love me.

Lester loves beautiful things,  admires creative ideas and believe in the freedom of expression that satisfies the human soul. He is nuts with the gothic god named  Tim Burton. His favorite character is Tim Burton‘s classic Edward Scissorhands who got scissors for hands, but what Edward lacks in confidence and identity, his  scissors and creativity more than makes up the void to earn admiration, acceptance and identity. A similar situation can be applied on the Lester case,  born not normal but thanks God somebody invented pencils. Thus the name Lapiskamay was born which is literally translated as the Pencilhands.

Comes great talents, come great pencils.

Note: This blog is dedicated to the Pencilhands’ passion for garbage doodles, garbage photos and  garbage writings about films, books, music, and life in general which ironically he considers beautiful. La vita e bella, life is beautiful. The blog Lester Pencilhands doesn’t represent the opinions of my family, relatives, exes, and the agency I am associated with.

Lester, I’m sure you know there is an internet game of tag that is going around and I was tagged. I answered the questions and now I am tagging you. Here is my post where you will find my answers for both of the times I was tagged as well as the questions I came up with for you. 17. Rhence says:

Hi Lester! Great sense of humor uh? Haha. Tim Burton? His works were kind of scary right? Haha. Usually kasi dark-themed movies niya. It reminds me of Corpse Bride movie, one of my favorites. 🙂 Anyway, thanks for visiting my site. Hope to hear more from you! 🙂

    • Lapiskamay says:

scary at first sight ang mga Burton movies, but if dive deep into the story you’ll be surprised to know they have heart and soul. thy’re emotional actually tsaka grabe ang level ng creativity. Edward Scissorhands pinkafavorite ko pero ayos din yung Corpse Bride astig ang music at mas maganda pa ang world of the dead kesa realyf. hehe. I’ll visiti your site more often too.

      • Rhence says:

Yeaa. He comes up with good stories, no doubt about it. 🙂 Siguro ganon lang talaga theme niya.

      • Lapiskamay says:

oo nakamaskara ang laman ng stories nya sa Gothic thmes nya.. not all the dark places are dark sometimes they can be colourful, soulful and beautiful. 🙂

  18. john tugano says:

  21. tagged you’re it, 私のお気に入り!!! yep, this one’s for you…^___^
I have problems with watercolors too! ^___^

  22. hello, Lester… thanks for dropping by the site and the follow. cool intro you have, kapatid. hope you will write and draw and share aplenty. warm regards… 😉

    • Lapiskamay says:

cool kasi ng blog mo. kaw din hope you keep blogging din, until our genius lawmakers make batas to ipagbawal the blogging. hehehe.

      • ahaha, owki, kapatid. taga-Boracay ka? i was there last month, ganda… yon lang, nangitim pa lalo, hehe. parang 20s ka lang, no? early 20s, tama ba…

salamat for the kind words about my blog… nagbabasa ka ba ro’n? kilo-kilometro ang usual kong post, hindi ko gamay ang Tagalog at wala rin usually na time and patience pa para magpa-iksi ng sinulat… hehe 😉

      • Lapiskamay says:

i used to work in Boracay, pero bumalik ako sa hometown for a better job. hehe. see previous post. oo nsa 20’s parin hehe.
pero chempre 17 pa ang utak. hahaha

oo nagbasa na ako ng mga dalawang blogs mo. medyo mahaba nga pero OK naman xa. nakalimutan ko pala magdrop ng comments! hehe. i wil next time!

    • Lapiskamay says:

wow nice to hear that! which character pinakafavorite mo? saken obvious na ata anoh? hehe

      • haha, you said things aptly and well. ala na me madagdag. yun nga… 😉

  24. Rhence says:

Hi Lester! Sorry if out of the context yung comment ko pero I would just like to recognize you as on of my Very Inspiring blogger awardee. See it here 😉 https://rhsapinoso.wordpress.com/2012/11/01/pasasalamat/

  25. Fate says:

  26. Why did you major in Accountancy if you hated numbers? Just curious. I used to be an accountant and auditor, too. Unlike your case, numbers couldn’t love me less. So I quit and teach English now.

Hay, and sarap mag-Tagalog sa blog paminsan minsan. 🙂 Thanks for letting me do it here. Nice to meet you, Lester.

    • Lapiskamay says:

because it’s a cheap course!

      Nice to meet you too!

  27. ingmar says:

hi! i jumped into your report on Digyo island, Leyte, because me and a friend will visit Leyte from november 21 on. We might consider visiting the island, because we like a few days in solitude, reading and swimming. could i bother you with some questions? what about snorkeling, diving and are there any facilities or is it just ‘sand’:-) and the boat, is that 2500 per day? quite expensive.. i love the place and hope you could tell me were we should go for the best deals! salamat!

    • Lapiskamay says:

hello! i believe digyo island is not really suitable for longer stays wala po syang facilities like hotels and watersports etc. classic tropical beach talaga sya. Virgin island with a small community. 🙂 pero ok lang dun overnight stay ala survivor. hehe. but if you want for a good island with special sports facilities then I wil definitely recommend the Kalanggaman island up north in Palompon, Leyte. I plan to go there this weekend. 🙂

p2,500 is a rental for the boat, balikan na po yan.

  28. musicahliza says:
